Current code requires GFCI protection in kitchens, bathrooms, garages, outdoor areas, and other specific locations. We identify exactly which outlets in your home need it during the assessment.
Often, yes — relocating a device on an existing circuit is usually straightforward. If the new location changes the load or distance significantly, we'll flag whether the circuit itself needs upsizing.
GFCI protects against shock from ground faults, typically required near water. AFCI protects against arc faults that can start electrical fires, typically required for bedroom and living space circuits. Many circuits now require both.
